Posted - 13th April 2008 17.00 hrs...... Subject - Brixham Shakedown Cruise Report
SFCC's cruising season season got off to a cold and breezy start. The forecast was for showers through the day, with the promise of a gale of wind from the WSW.
The return journey was much more like it, with the sun shining and the wind off the land. Again a quick passage back to the Exe for high tide, and back through the shortcut, to the mooring.
In summary we (I) had an excellent weekend, and will be looking forward to a few more members joining in on the next one.
PS. Brixham Club Pontoon is servicable to all.

Hi Everyone.
For the first club cruise this year, as usual, we have planned a short shakedown to Brixham. It is my intention to leave the mooring at 10.00 hrs BST on the Saturday 12th April. We will be trying to get on the club pontoons initially, but if they are occupied, or simply not there, then the next option will be the events pontoon.
Lets hope for fine weather, (it’s just been snowing as I write this). The more that attend the better, so encourage anyone that you speak with to come along. Comms will be the same as last year with an initial call on Ch 16, we will then move to Ch 08.
I can be contacted by mobile if required 07702 941332, or e-mail brandybottle.paddy@tiscali.co.uk for those with the facility.
Looking forward to seeing you on the weekend. Posted - 9th March 2008 21.00 hrs...... Subject - 2008 Cruising Schedule Latest Update

Cruisers and Fishermen always look forward to this annual, and special evening, at SFCC. Your Cruising Secretary, Dermot Nolan, and Fishing Secretary, Eddy Carter, gave us yet another fantastic Annual Presentation. Please remember to congratulate both of them, for their efforts, when you next see them.
Club participation makes the night the special occasion it is though, and thanks go to you all for that.
